Pianos
and organs use very similar types of felt, mostly in green or red,
to dampen noise and sound from the keyboard. In some instances white
or grey wool felt is used in organs to reduce the internal residual
vibration and sound that can occur. Alternatively a piano uses Hard
White Tapered Felt, as used on the piano hammer heads. This is a
very special item, but one which we can easily supply to companies
who refurbish all types of piano. We are happy to keep in stock any
specific colours and densities where a customer offers a degree of
usage.
We offer two sizes in two densities - supply is
either individually or in kit form and all come in the 'natural'
white colour shown.
For drums we offer strips of self adhesive backed
black felt, that is cut to suit your instrument. Generally this product
sits between the 'Skin' and the other fittings on the top and bottom
of the drum. These items are generally narrow in nature and cut to
length at the time of fitting. Please advise the width required when
making an enquiry.
For xylophones we supply thick black felt strips to sit under the
notes to dampen the sound when required. No enquiry is too small.
These types of picks are made from a very special
material that offers the original Authentic Banjo and Ukulele sound.
These can be bought in handy packs of 10 and 25 pieces per pack,
and are made to order. Please call us for a price.
Self-adhesive backing if required, felt kiss-cut parts.
